The FamilyLink Parental Controls app is a Companion to the FamilyLink app for parents. It is Designed for parents to remotely set digital ground rules for their children's Online activities. Whether your children are younger or in their teens, the FamilyLink app allows you to guide them as they learn, play, and explore online.
For children under 13 or the applicable age of consent in your country, the FamilyLink app also lets you create a Google account for your child that is similar to your own account, with access to most Google services. The app helps you set a good example for your child and keep an eye on their online activity.
With FamilyLink Parental Controls, you can guide your child to good content, view their activity, and manage their apps. Activity repoRTS show you how much time your child is spending on their favorite apps. You can manage their apps by approving or Blocking apps they want to download from the Google Play Store, manage in-app purchases, and hide specific apps on their device remotely from your own device. Additionally, FamilyLink shows you teacher-recommended apps on Android that you can add directly to their device to feed their curiosity.
To keep an eye on screentime, you can set limits by deciding the right amount of screentime for your child. FamilyLink lets you set time limits and bedtime for their supervised devices so you can help them find a good balance. You can also remotely lock a supervised device whenever it's time for your child to take a break.
