Plan Before Taking Photos
Planit Pro enables you to develop detailed plans tailored to the photos you intend to capture. By utilizing the Sun, Moon, and Milky Way Tracker feature, you can monitor the positions and movements of these celestial bodies in real-time. You have the option to manually enter your location or allow the app to access your current location data. This functionality is instrumental in orchestrating outdoor shots with optimal lighting conditions.
By granting the app permission to utilize your phone’s Camera, you can visually track the trajectory of astronomical objects against the backdrop of the sky. This aids in precisely adjusting the camera angle or position for optimal composition. Moreover, you can tailor the light angles and positions of elements within your photo manually to achieve a pleasing result. However, the process may appear somewhat intricate — in fact, I spent nearly half a day unraveling all the features Designed by the developers. For amateurs, I suggest checking out tutorial videos on YouTube before diving into the application.
Enjoy Complete Offline Functionality with Preloaded Maps and Data
If you venture to a remote location to photograph stunning sceneries, internet connectivity might be nonexistent or extremely weak. Thankfully, this app boasts offline support. All calculations that you access are Stored on your device, making them readily available whenever needed. You can also assess your captured data remotely — peruse it from the comfort of your home to determine if the scenery aligns with your artistic vision.
Internet-Free: Operates fully offline without an internet connection or mobile service.
Remote Accessibility: Perfectly suited for off-Grid photography Adventures.
Offline Features: Scout locations, design compositions, and compute ephemeris without internet access.
Wilderness Capabilities: Comprehensive planning and visualization tools at your disposal.
Use AR Mode
Upon launching Planit Pro, you will encounter an AR Mode icon or an option to enable AR mode. Click this icon to turn on AR mode. Once activated, you’ll need to pinpoint the specific location where you'd like to take a photo. At this juncture, moving your phone allows you to visualize how the sun, moon, or galaxy would appear in the photo frame from that spot.
This capability provides a solid foundation for planning meticulously detailed photographs each time you wish to immortalize moments throughout the day, particularly when the chosen location harmonizes beautifully with nature's artistry.
Golden Hour Calculation
It is essential to grasp what the term Golden Hour refers to: it is a fleeting time Shortly after sunrise or before sunset when gentle, Warm light envelops the sky. This magical light creates soft silhouettes and enriching colors, making it the prime time for capturing landscape, portrait, and nature photography.
Planit Pro assists in calculating the precise start and end times of the Golden Hour, tailored to your specific location and current time. This feature helps streamline your photo shoot preparations ahead of these pivotal moments (referencing previous planning steps). The app is even capable of predicting the Golden Hour half a day in advance, allowing you ample time to arrive, set up your camera, and seize the “golden moment” of the day!
Advanced Ephemeris for Celestial Body Planning
Capturing landscape photographs becomes increasingly complex when celestial phenomena are involved. While standard landscapes can be easier to navigate, integrating elements from the sky poses significant challenges. After a long day of waiting, returning home empty-handed is disappointing. However, this app provides ephemeris calculations to ensure you’re prepared to capture stunning astronomical events. Having a reliable calendar gives you sufficient lead time to prepare and travel to your desired Shooting location. Then, all that's left to do is wait patiently for the right moment — failure is not an option.
Golden Hour and Blue Hour: Displays information related to twilight, blue hour, golden hour, and other optimum lighting periods.
Solar System Tracking: Offers star maps, Milky Way locators, and sun/moon finders.
All Plans at Home: Enables planning and visualization of star trail photography, time-lapses, and solar system tracks.
Fitted with Calculations: Computes exposures, Filters, and additional parameters essential for astrophotography.
