Your soldiers
Depending on whether you align with the Oda or Takeda factions, the visual aesthetics and characteristics of your soldiers will reflect these choices. Nonetheless, soldiers share common fundamental attributes across factions, classified into typical roles:
Ashigaru:
Vanguard soldiers wielding long spears, these economical troops (costing just 10 gold) possess lower health and damage statistics. If quantity is your Strategy, they're a viable choice.
Ronin:
These are samurai bereft of a commander yet proficient in swordsmanship, excelling in close-quarter combat, boasting health and damage capabilities comparable to two Ashigaru.
Archer:
Indispensable throughout many epochs, archers possess low health and damage stats but compensate with extensive firing range and rapid Shooting speed, causing substantial damage collectively.
Musketeer:
Largely robust soldiers armed with muskets, they exhibit high health and damage along with extended range, albeit at a higher cost and slower rate of fire.
Build a powerful army
Assemble a diversified army encompassing various roles: Ashigaru, Ronin, Archer, Musketeer, and Samurai. These units form the backbone of your strategies. Strategically position key Warriors like Ashigaru, Ronin, and Samurai up front, with Archers and Musketeers behind, minimizing the risk of front-line Casualties. Employ explosive items for swift enemy removal. Enhance soldiers’ levels, delivering increased health and damage output. Moreover, sound economic management is crucial for sustaining upgrades and forming formidable teams to thrive in Shogun: War and Empire.
